Dutton-Lainson Company manual rope winches provide safety, convenience, and control for multipurpose hauling and lifting of loads and burdens. The fully automatic friction brake provides a constant and positive holding force whenever the handle is released (when the load stops), preventing the load from running away. Features of the DLB and B-series brake winches include:
- Laminated gears are made of high-carbon steel, ensuring a longer winch life.
- All gears in models DLB800A through B3503 are heat-treated, which ensures their increased strength.
- Permanently lubricated bearings on the drive shafts are maintenance-free.
- Robust steel crank with an ergonomically shaped handle.
- The drive shaft gears are copper-brazed for their long life.
- Solid, welded winch construction ensuring greater strength.
- Load-matched gear ratios for easier cranking.
- All plated parts are zinc-plated with the patented TUFFPLATE® technology.
- Slotted mounting holes allowing for easy installation.
- Massive stamped and reinforced steel bases for extra strength.
- A ratchet handle is available for limited manoeuvring space.
- Meets the ASAE S361.3 safety standard.
- Can be operated with a large boat lifting wheel (sold separately).
- The handle is an integral part of the brake mechanism.
All DL manual rope winches are designed for multipurpose hauling and lifting. They must not be used as hoists for lifting, supporting, or transporting people, or for loads over areas where people might be present.
