Our synthetic ropes are made from the highest quality materials.
This is a very high molecular weight polyethylene that offers maximum strength combined with minimum weight:
* highest strength-to-weight ratio
* very good abrasion resistance
* excellent material fatigue resistance
* good compression resistance
* low stretch properties
* limited temperature resistance (melting point 150°C)
* maximum operating temperature 70°C
* fibre density 0.97: buoyant
The low stretch of the ropes is very advantageous in cases where there is limited room for movement, where any dynamic force generated by stretching can be very dangerous, e.g., for winches, tugboats, and when mooring ships with heavy equipment.
Ropes made from HMPE fibres are especially recommended where low weight and easy handling are important, as well as in water transport for fast and safe mooring and towing.
The synthetic ropes offered are made using a twelve-strand braid technology - 12 strands

CONSTRUCTION - the rope is formed by 12 strands, 6 of which are braided clockwise and 6 counter-clockwise. This protects the rope against kinking, which is a very important advantage during use. A special machine containing 12 spools of HMPE synthetic fibres is used to manufacture the rope.
Comparable in strength, and in some variants even stronger, than steel rope. Its undeniable advantage is its weight, flexibility, and ability to float on water. Synthetic fibres are very soft, and there is no risk of injury when handling the rope.
