Our synthetic ropes are made from the highest quality materials.
It is an ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene offering maximum strength combined with minimum weight:
* highest strength-to-weight ratio
* very good abrasion resistance
* excellent fatigue resistance

* limited temperature resistance (melting point 150°C)
* maximum continuous operating temperature 70°C
* fibre density 0.97: buoyant
The low elongation of the ropes is very advantageous in cases where space for movement is limited, where any dynamic force generated during stretching can be very dangerous, e.g. for winches, tugboats and when mooring ships with heavy equipment.
Ropes made of HMPE fibres are particularly recommended where low weight and easy handling are important, also in water transport for fast and safe mooring and towing.
